REASI: The District Employment and Counselling Centre, Reasi today organised a Job Fair for unemployed youth of the district, providing them direct access to employment opportunities and a platform to interact with prospective employers.
The Job Fair was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner Reasi Kumar Abhishek, who interacted with participating employers, officials and job seekers. More than 700 job seekers from different parts of the district participated in the event and explored a range of employment opportunities.
Addressing the participants, the Deputy Commissioner extended his best wishes to the aspiring candidates and urged them to actively participate in the recruitment process and make the best use of the opportunities available to them.
He emphasised that the performance and professional conduct of local youth would help create a positive impression among participating companies and encourage greater participation of employers in future Job Fairs, thereby contributing to the expansion of employment opportunities in the district.
The Deputy Commissioner also urged the youth to make full use of the Mission YUVA scheme, which provides expert assistance in business planning, staffing, training and marketing strategies. He assured the aspiring entrepreneurs of all possible support and facilitation from the district administration in establishing and running their enterprises.
The Deputy Commissioner lauded the efforts of the Employment Department in organising the Job Fair and expressed hope that the participation of companies would increase in future editions, providing wider employment avenues to the youth of the district.
Several employers and organisations participated in the Job Fair, including Life Insurance Corporation of India, Gurukul Public Higher Secondary School Reasi, hotels and restaurants in Katra, Hotel White Katra, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Superspeciality Hospital, SBI Life, Raj Shree Motors, Jammu Motors (Mahindra), AM Tata Reasi, Pukhraj and Peace Traders and Co.
The participating job seekers appreciated the initiative and expressed satisfaction with the opportunity to interact directly with prospective employers and explore available career avenues. Later, the Deputy Commissioner distributed sanction letters to the beneficiaries under the Mission YUVA scheme.
Additional District Development Commissioner Krishna Lal, General Manager, District Industries Centre Navdeep Wazir, Chief Horticulture and Agriculture Officer, Assistant Director Employment, District Information Officer and other officers were present on the occasion.
