Justice for Jammu: Arun Prabhat calls ‘Chalo Secretariat’ march over NLU neglect in Jammu region and sale of 24,000 jobs by NC Government

JAMMU: Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), Jammu & Kashmir gave a call for a “Chalo Secretariat” March on March 27, lambasting on the indifferent and conspicuously silent approach of the Omar Abdullah-led National Conference government on the establishment of a National Law University (NLU) in the Jammu region.

Arun Prabhat, President, BJYM Jammu & Kashmir, while addressing a strong worded press conference at party headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu, expressed serious concern over “continued neglect and regional discrimination” faced by the youth of Jammu. He criticized the government for maintaining a “complete silence” despite sustained protests and demands from students and aspirants over the past two months.

“Omar led NC Government sold 24,000 jobs by backdoor process without any proper procedure”, said Arun Prabhat, while strongly condemning the outsourcing of 24,000 jobs and keeping the whole process in anonymity. He called it a blatant assault on the rights of local youth and questioned the transparency and legitimacy of the process.

“The youth of Jammu & Kashmir has the right to know what was the recruitment process? Was there any advertisement? Any written examination? Any interviews? Or is this yet another backdoor entry to deprive deserving youth?”, said Arun.

He further said people are recruited without any CID Verification that too in a very sensitive UT like Jammu & Kashmir marking a serious threat to the security apparatus. He asserted that such actions expose the “anti-youth, anti-Jammu mindset” of the present government, which is systematically denying opportunities and pushing the region’s youth towards uncertainty and frustration.

He further stated that the denial of an NLU in Jammu reflects a “nefarious design” to sideline the aspirations of the region’s youth, depriving them of quality legal education and opportunities. “BJP will organize a massive “Chalo Secretariat” march on March 27, urging the youth of Jammu to come out in large numbers and raise their voice against the unjust policies of the government declared, Arun Prabhat.

“The youth of Jammu have been on the streets for the last two months demanding their rightful share. It is unfortunate that the Omar-led government has chosen to remain mute on such a critical issue,” he said. He appealed to all sections of society, especially the youth, to unite and participate in the movement to ensure that their demands are heard and justice is delivered.
