JAMMU: Dr Ambedkar Chamber of Commerce (DACC) organized an Awareness Programme on the National SC/ST Hub Scheme (NSSH), an initiative of the Government of India, at the University of Jammu today.
Dr Jitendra Singh, Union Minister, graced the occasion as Chief Guest. In his address, he highlighted the various welfare schemes and initiatives launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the socio-economic upliftment of SC, ST, and OBC communities. He emphasized the Government’s commitment to inclusive growth, entrepreneurship promotion, and capacity building among marginalized sections through the National SC/ST Hub.
The programme was attended by a distinguished gathering of dignitaries, academicians, and stakeholders. Distinguished Speakers Included Raja Ajaz Ali, IPS (Retd.), Dr Deevinder Manyal, MLA, Bharat Bhushan, Ex-MLA & Former DDC Chairman, Jammu, Prof Gharu Ram Bhagat, MLA, Dr Bharat Bhushan, MLA, and Prof Gurdev Chand, Head, SKUAST-Jammu. J&K BJP SC Morcha President Dharminder Kumar along with special dignitaries from Punjab SC Morcha were also present in the programme.
While giving details about the organization, speakers shared that the Dr Ambedkar Chamber of Commerce is a national-level organization working for the economic empowerment of SC, ST, OBC, and minority communities. Inspired by the vision of Bharat Ratna Dr B.R. Ambedkar, DACC promotes entrepreneurship, skill development, and access to government schemes among marginalized entrepreneurs. The Chamber acts as a bridge between policymakers and beneficiaries, facilitating awareness, capacity building, and market linkages to foster inclusive economic growth.
A Technical Presentation on the National SC/ST Hub Scheme was delivered by Ankita Singh, Assistant Manager, KPMG Advisory Services, detailing the scheme’s objectives, eligibility, financial support, capacity building, and market linkages for SC/ST entrepreneurs. The formal welcome was extended by Prof Satinder Kumar, Department of Law, University of Jammu. The Inaugural Address was delivered by Sardar Iqbal Singh Atwal, DG-DACC.
The programme was conducted and compered by Tushar Bhardwaj, Broadcasting Assistant, CRS, JU. Vote of Thanks was presented by Sachin Pal, Advisor, DACC. Special Thanks were extended to all participants, Registrar, University of Jammu, and Dr Neeraj Sharma, Chairperson, Campus Culture Committee.
