UDHAMPUR: An awareness cum outreach program under the ongoing nationwide IEC campaign Janbhagidari - Sabse door, Sabse pehle was today organised at Panchayat Ghar Krimchi Block Udhampur.

Functional Manager DIC (Nodal Officer) Jagdeep Singh coordinated the programme, conducted under the overall supervision of Programme Officer ICDS Subash Dogra and under the aegis of district administration Udhampur led by Deputy Commissioner Minga Sherpa.

The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from locals, village representatives, field functionaries and members of tribal communities, especially Scheduled Tribes and PVTG groups.

Representatives from various departments sensitized the public regarding different government welfare schemes, beneficiary-oriented programmes and saturation initiatives being implemented for the upliftment of vulnerable and remote sections of society.

During the programme, special emphasis was laid on last-mile delivery of services, inclusion of eligible beneficiaries under various schemes and ensuring that no deserving person remains deprived of government assistance.

Awareness was also created regarding documentation requirements, registration procedures and access to public welfare benefits. On-spot registration and grievance redressal facilities were also provided during the camp wherein public grievances and queries were attended by the concerned departmental representatives.

The participants appreciated the initiative and actively interacted with the officials regarding different schemes and entitlements. Jagdeep Singh highlighted the importance of field-level outreach, public participation and coordinated departmental efforts in achieving effective implementation of welfare initiatives at the grassroots level. The programme concluded with public interaction and assurance from the administration for continued support and facilitation to the local population.
