AWANTIPORA: Continuing its efforts under the Nasha Mukt Jammu Kashmir Abhiyaan, Police carried out multiple awareness and enforcement activities across different areas to strengthen the fight against drug abuse and trafficking.
A drug awareness programme was conducted at Little Angels Academy Tral, where students and participants were sensitized about the harmful effects of substance abuse and the importance of staying away from drugs.
The programme emphasized collective responsibility in building a drug free society. Similarly, awareness programmes were organised at Kongposh Middle School Munpora and Government High School Kaichachkoot, aimed at educating students and the local community regarding the ill effects of narcotic substances and encouraging active public participation in the anti drug campaign.
Meanwhile, as part of intensified anti-narcotics efforts, narcotics-related searches are being conducted in villages Kaigam, Kawani, Dogripora, Buhoo, and Kanjinag to curb drug peddling and dismantle networks involved in narcotics activities. Police remain committed to continuing awareness initiatives and enforcement measures under the ongoing campaign to ensure a safer and drug free society.
