SHOPIAN: Continuing its sustained efforts to combat drug abuse and protect the future of youth, J&K Police in Shopian organized anti-drug awareness programmes at Hanfiya Public School Alamgunj and Government School Heff Shirmal under the ongoing Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyaan.

The awareness programmes aimed to educate students and the general public about the harmful effects of drug abuse and highlighted the importance of collective responsibility in eliminating the menace of narcotics from society. Participants actively took part in the programmes and pledged to contribute towards building a drug-free society.

Meanwhile, Shopian Police conducted a cordon and search operation at Safanagri in connection with NDPS-related activities as part of its sustained crackdown against drug trafficking and substance abuse. The operation was carried out to identify and take strict action against individuals involved in narcotics activities and to ensure a drug-free environment in the area.

Police reiterated its firm commitment to continue such awareness initiatives as part of the ongoing 100 Days Nasha Mukt J&K Abhiyaan, with the objective of creating a safer, healthier and drug-free future for the youth.
