BANDIPORA: Awareness and outreach activities under the ongoing 100-Day Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyan continued across Bandipora district on Monday with recap sessions, pledge ceremonies, awareness discussions, rallies and review meetings organised at various educational institutions.

Recap and review sessions of activities conducted under the Nasha Mukt Abhiyan were held at HSS Quilmuqam, HSS Nowgam, HS Koragbal, HS Odina, HS Panar and Government HSS Purana Tulail Gurez to assess the progress of awareness programmes aimed at promoting a drug-free society. Different awareness activities were also organised at HS Ketson, while pledge ceremonies against drug abuse were conducted at HS Panar and other institutions.

At HSS Gadakhud, a review meeting highlighted measures taken to combat drug abuse, including sensitising nearby shopkeepers against the sale of tobacco products to students and minors. 

Meanwhile, Govt HS Kanzalwan organised a comprehensive review of activities conducted under the 100-Day Activities Calendar 2026, while Govt Boys High School Garoora held speeches, pledge-taking and a cleanliness drive to spread awareness among students. A Group/Dosti Discussion under NMBA was conducted at GDC Gurez to promote awareness among college students.

At Government Boys Middle School Dachigam, Medical Officer Dr Shabana Khan delivered awareness lectures on the harmful effects of drug addiction and the importance of a healthy lifestyle.

At HKM Government Degree College Bandipora, various activities under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan were organised on Monday. The Red Ribbon Youth Club held an awareness lecture on the harmful effects of drug abuse, while NCC cadets participating in an adventure camp organised by 7 J&K NCC Battalion Kupwara spread anti-drug awareness through banners and public interactions. The College NCORD Cell also organised an Anti-Drug Pledge programme led by the  Principal, Prof. Suresh Kumar Dogra, reaffirming the institution’s commitment towards a drug-free society. The programmes witnessed active participation of students, teachers and members of the community across the district.
