JAMMU: Shri Zahid Nasim Manhas, IPS, DIG Railways J&K, conducted a significant visit to GRP Jammu following his recent assumption of charge, marking a proactive step towards strengthening railway security and administrative efficiency in the region.

During his visit, the DIG held a Darbar at GRP Lines Jammu, where he interacted with officers and personnel, attentively listening to their concerns and directing that all genuine issues be addressed on priority. Emphasizing the importance of morale and welfare, he assured full support to the force in ensuring better working conditions.

Shri Manhas also convened a detailed meeting with SSP GRP Jammu and other Gazetted Officers, focusing on enhancing operational efficiency and streamlining coordination. The discussions revolved around improving response mechanisms, strengthening vigilance, and ensuring effective deployment of personnel.

A comprehensive review of security arrangements at Jammu Railway Station was also carried out. The DIG stressed the need for heightened alertness, robust surveillance, and passenger-friendly policing to ensure a safe and secure environment for travelers. He further discussed ongoing security measures and called for their continuous upgradation in line with emerging challenges.

The visit reflects a firm commitment of the Railway Police to reinforce security infrastructure while maintaining a responsive and efficient policing system for the safety and convenience of the public.
