JAMMU: Mission Shakti SANKALP-Hub for Empowerment of Women Jammu, Social Welfare Department organized an awareness camp in Village Ambaran, Akhnoor in association with JKNRLM in block training centre. A large number of women from Ambaran and adjoining areas attended the camp.
The officials of Mission Shakti SANKALP HEW Jammu elaborated government schemes/ services and programmes such as BBBP, Health Related Schemes of Sukanya Samridhi Yojana, Ladli Beti, scholarship schemes, education oriented schemes, skill oriented programmes, business start up schemes, pensions for Old Age, Widow, Physically Challenged Person, SMAS for marriage, schemes for women in distress, Nasha Mukt awareness session, Helpline Nos.
They further stressed how these schemes are designed for women's education, health, safety and empowerment. At the end of the session, the grievances were also noted for early redressal.
