ANANTNAG: SSP Anantnag Shri Amod Ashok Nagpure-IPS chaired a comprehensive ops cum crime review meeting at DPO Anantnag to assess the overall ops situation and review the progress of ongoing investigations.

The meeting was attended by ASP North Camp Ashmuqam Shri Rameez Raja, all SDPOs, SHOs and In-Charges of Police Posts. During the meeting, the SSP reviewed the status of registered cases, progress of investigations, pending cases, preventive measures and the overall law and order situation. He directed all officers to ensure timely and professional investigation, close monitoring of pending cases and strict adherence to established procedures.

Special emphasis was laid on NDPS cases, with the SSP directing officers to adopt a zero-tolerance approach towards drug trafficking and drug peddling. He stressed upon identifying and taking stringent action against drug suppliers, peddlers and repeat offenders, besides ensuring effective investigation of NDPS cases and timely completion of legal proceedings. Officers were also directed to intensify efforts to trace the financial networks and properties linked to drug trafficking, wherever applicable.

SSP Anantnag emphasized strengthening preventive policing, taking prompt action against anti-social and criminal elements, effective beat policing and prompt redressal of public grievances. He directed all officers to remain vigilant, ensure accountability at every level and adopt a proactive approach towards maintaining peace, security and public order across the district.
