AWANTIPORA: As part of the ongoing campaign against narcotic substances, J&K Police in Awantipora conducted a wild Bhung destruction drive along the Jhelum bund at Reshipora.
The drive was carried out in coordination with the Excise Department, Lumberdar, Chowkidar, and local residents. During the drive, wild bung plants growing along the bund were identified and destroyed.
The initiative reflects the continued commitment of Police and allied departments towards preventing the cultivation and spread of narcotic substances and creating a safer, drug free environment for the community. Police has urged the public to extend their cooperation and actively participate in efforts aimed at curbing the menace of drugs.
