UDHAMPUR: Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Minga Sherpa today convened a meeting to review the progress of water supply schemes in Udhampur, Ramnagar and Chenani towns under AMRUT 2.0. The meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer Uttam Singh and the functionaries from the stakeholder departments.
The DC inquired about the component wise progress including construction of filtration units, storage structures, electrical substations and civil works, besides procurement of pumping equipment. He also assessed the overall physical and financial progress achieved under AMRUT 2.0 so far.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned executing agencies to mobilize adequate manpower and machinery to expedite the pace of work to achieve the stipulated targets within the prescribed timelines.
The Executive Engineer Jal Shakti Department was directed to fix monthly targets and ensure their regular monitoring. The executing agencies were asked to strictly adhere to the prescribed guidelines and specifications of the schemes.
