SRINAGAR: In a powerful display of national unity and solidarity, a 17-member delegation of the Socialist Party (India), led by renowned social activist and National Vice-President Sandeep Pandey, recently met with Dr. Farooq Abdullah, President of the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference, at Nawa-e-Subah Srinagar to extend unwavering support to the people and government of Jammu and Kashmir in the wake of the recent terror attack in Pahalgam.
The delegation unequivocally condemned the cowardly act of terror that claimed innocent lives, describing it as an attack not only on Kashmir but on the soul of India. Offering heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, the Socialist Party reaffirmed its commitment to peace, unity, and national integrity.
Dr. Abdullah thanked the delegation for their show of solidarity and emphasized that terrorism will never break the spirit of the people of Jammu and Kashmir, who have always stood for peace, brotherhood, and resilience. He called upon all political and social forces across India to stand united in the fight against extremism.
Sandeep Pandey, speaking on behalf of the delegation, said, “This is not just about Jammu and Kashmir – this is about India. We must rise above political and regional lines to defend the values enshrined in our Constitution: peace, justice, and human dignity. The Socialist Party stands shoulder to shoulder with our brothers and sisters in Kashmir.”
In a joint statement, both leaders called for a renewed national commitment to peace and development, asserting that the future of Jammu and Kashmir lies in dialogue, democracy, and inclusive progress. They urged citizens across the country to reject hate and violence and to work towards building a stronger, more united India.
