POONCH: Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal today chaired a high-level meeting to review and expedite the process to start academic activities of Kendriya Vidyalaya proposed for the border District.
The meeting witnessed the participation of key officials, including the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Chief Education Officer, District Education Planning Officer, Divisional Forest Officer, Tehsildar Haveli, Headquarters Tehsildar, and the Principal of Kendriya Vidyalaya Rajouri.
To ensure that academic activities can commence without delay, the Chief Education Officer was instructed to identify a suitable temporary building that can be used until the permanent infrastructure is in place.
After thorough deliberations, the Deputy Commissioner directed the revenue authorities to immediately identify suitable land in Gulpur, ensuring that the site is free from all encumbrances and appropriate for construction of Kendriya Vidyalaya campus.
Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal emphasized the need for prompt and coordinated efforts among all departments to facilitate the timely operationalization of the prestigious Educational Institution. He noted that the institution would play a vital role in strengthening the quality education infrastructure and meeting the educational needs of the region.
