BARAMULLA: As part of its ongoing public outreach and community policing initiatives, Police in Baramulla organized 30 public outreach programmes across the district with the objective of strengthening police–public relations and fostering greater public trust.

The outreach programmes were held at Sheikhpora, Baba Khaipora, Rajarwani, Kulhama, Yakhmanpora, Hardshoora, Kralhar, Batangi, Al-Mustafa Colony, Dangerpora, Posnag, Katianwali, Wailoo, Salambad, Lari, Muqampiran, Tumberhama, Harkhari, Mohrawali-III, Iqbal Colony, Takiya Wagoora, Arampora, Chandoosa, Duslipora, Zadimohalla, Ganie Mohalla, Hyderbeigh, Dachi, Gowhallan and Khachipora areas of the district.

During these programmes, police officers engaged with local residents to hear public grievances, discuss community concerns, raise awareness on public safety matters, and further reinforce police–public cooperation. The initiative aimed at enhancing transparency, mutual trust, and collaborative efforts between the police and the community.

J&K Police reaffirmed its commitment to people-centric, proactive, and responsive policing and appealed to citizens to extend their cooperation in maintaining peace, harmony, and public order in the district.
