JAMMU: A grand Lohri celebration was organized at the Brigadier Rajendra Singh Hostel, Central University of Jammu, in the presence of the Honorable Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof. Sanjeev Jain. The event featured traditional music and festivities. The Chief Warden and Warden, Prof. Rakesh Jha and Prof. Bharat Bhushan, welcomed the Vice-Chancellor upon his arrival at the hostel.

On this occasion, the Vice-Chancellor extended Lohri greetings to everyone and said that Indian festivals are a reflection of our rich cultural heritage. These festivals foster a sense of harmony and brotherhood among us. The Vice-Chancellor lit the Lohri bonfire and distributed peanuts and sweets to those present. Students danced enthusiastically to the rhythm of the drums. This grand event created a joyful atmosphere for all. Prof. Uday Pratap Singh, Dr. Shashikanta Mishra, Dr. Parvesh Kumar and other officers and staff of the hostel office were also present at the event.
