Prominent biradari members, and representatives of all the branch Sabhas, Satsang society and Sikanderpur Trust participated. All J&K Shree Guru Ravidass Sabha has already applied for the permission for holding nagar kirtan, wherein it has been requested to the police and civil administration to make all arrangement for smooth conduct of shoba yatra that shall start from Krishna Nagar pass through Guru Ravidass Chowk-Below Gummat-Indra Chowk-Shalamar Chowk-Civil Secretariat-Shalamar Chowk-City Chowk-Raguhnath Bazar-Viveknand Chowk-Gujjar Nagar Tawi Bride- and finally culminate at GRD Gurudwara Bahufort. It was also informed that a similar shoba yatra shall also be taken out from R.S.Pura to Sikanderpur Trust headquarter on 18th Jan wherein, Sri Sri 108 Swami Gurdeep Guri ji Maharaj shall participate.
Additionally, on 1st Feb 2026 a grand function of Prakash Utsav shall be organised at Krishna Nagar Gurudwara wherein, all are invited to participate in large number, it is expected social activist, political figures and officers of all ranks are going to attend the Paraksh Utsav and pay their obeisance to the greatest socio religious reformer of 14th century. The program shall be totally non-political but anybody can come and pay obeisance. Further, it was also appealed to the biradri to donate in both cash and kind to the Sabha for successful conduct of these two major events of the biradri, as the ousted President and his team kept nothing (cash and other related record of the Sabha) in the Sabha premises and rather withdrew more than two lac rupees from the bank account one day before he was ousted by the biradri in the General Ijlas.
As usual Prabhat Pheri has been started from the first week of Jan., 2026 and shall culminate on 27th of Jan., at Bahufort Gurudwara in which hundreds of devotees will participate from the different localities like that of last year. In addition to more than two lac rupees cash he collected from the community to celebrate Parkash Divas of Guru Ravidass ji Maharaj in 2025 was also taken away by him and in spite of repeated request he has not returned the biradri money but has involved sabha in various false litigations.
Prof. C.L. Shivgotra further elaborating on the issue said that the present managing committee was constitutionally appointed on 29th Dec 2024 in a grand general ijlas of the biradari in view of constitutional as envisaged in the sabha constitution and in last more than one year the present managing committee has left no stone unturned to set right the wrongs happened during more than 10 years illegal period of Piran Ditta, that included severe damage to sabhaâs immovable property, no proper audits and accounts of the sabha with lacs and lacs of rupees embezzlements in run the office of the sabha especially in catering and other such services.
He further said that ousted Piran Ditta has no locus standee and whatever false claims he is putting forward through few news portals and by grouping with very few disgruntled elements of the biradri are all baseless, as the status quo or court cases were against those persons of the birdari who are not the office bearers of present committee. Both Piran Ditta and his elected general secretary were ousted as they had occupied the chair illegally over an extended period of time by getting themselves involved in various litigations against each other. It was further informed that new President & Secretary of the Sabha shall be elected as per constitution of the sabha at appropriate time through constituted election board without creating any divisions in the biradri.
Surjit Singh Heer, while further elaborating, said that 5-6 birdari members from amongst more than 4 lac Chamars of J&K are all trouble makers since decades and their work should be assessed in individuals to which they belonged to in past and present. One Sh. Jagdish Pahalwan himself is self-styled president of Pacca Talab Guru Ravidass Sabha for decades and he threatens locals through money & muscle power. Further he has encroached on land of the Sabha at Pacca Talab and is now trying to threaten the central sabha.
Finally, it was requested to the local administration to make elaborate arrangements for Shoba Yatra and also take action against Piran Ditta, Jagdish Pahalwan and others who are trying to threaten the managing committee as well as Biradri for forceful entry into the head quarter Gurudwara premises. All those who are thinking about such misadventure are advised to think 100 times before such action as it shall not be in their interest. So, they were also advised to come and join both events with the biradri if they are true followers of Guru Ravidass ji. The gathering also declared that Sabha and the Sabha premises belong to more than 4 lac Ravidassia biradri of J&K and shall remain so. Piran Ditta illegally occupied property of the birdari for a decade and biradri ousted him in the interest of biradri and he should take due rest now at the age of 84 years and enjoy rest of his life.
