The Survival Fight of JK Monitor: For 16 years, JK Monitor has chronicled Jammu and Kashmir with integrity. Since 2010, I have steered its newsroom alongside our visionary Founding Chairman, Dr. Priya Ranjan (IIT Kharagpur alumnus, University of Maryland Ph.D.). His tragic demise in October 2026 left a severe financial and operational vacuum. Without urgent support, our 24/7 news portal risks permanently shutting down after November 2026, remaining only as a static digital archive. We appeal to well-wishers to extend a helping hand to keep our active newsroom alive. Support Us: WhatsApp: +91-9906103001 | Email: journalistajmerwani@gmail.com

JAMMU: The Central University of Jammu has brought laurels to the institution by winning the prestigious Best Team Award at the IN-SPACe CAN-7USAT and Model Rocketry Cup India Student Competition 2026, marking a significant achievement in the University's pursuit of excellence in space science, technology and innovation.

The national-level competition witnessed participation from several reputed institutions across the country, including Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs) and other prominent institutions engaged in space science and technological research. Securing the Best Team Award amidst such strong competition is a testament to the University's growing capabilities and commitment to promoting scientific temper, innovation and experiential learning among students.

This remarkable achievement reflects the dedication, technical competence, creativity and collaborative spirit of the University's talented students, who demonstrated their capabilities on a prestigious national platform.

The achievement has been made possible through the constant support, encouragement and visionary leadership of the Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. Sanjeev Jain, whose inspiring guidance has continuously motivated students and faculty members to pursue excellence in science, technology and research. The team also received valuable guidance and mentorship from Prof. Rakesh Kumar Jha, Faculty Coordinator, and Dr. Misbah Shafi, Faculty Mentor, whose dedicated efforts, technical guidance and encouragement played a pivotal role in preparing and motivating the students throughout the competition.

Congratulating the team on this remarkable accomplishment, the University acknowledges the collective efforts of the students, faculty mentors and all those who contributed towards this success.
