JAMMU: Jammu and Kashmir Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) held a crucial strategy meeting of its senior leadership at the party headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu, to firmly position the party for a comprehensive political and public outreach ahead of the Union Budget 2026, to be presented in New Delhi.
The meeting was chaired by BJP Jammu & Kashmir President and Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament, Sat Sharma, CA, and was attended by senior party leaders, state office bearers, morcha presidents, and cell convenors. J&K BJP Vice-Presidents Priya Sethi, Rakesh Mahajan, and Rekha Mahajan, along with General Secretaries Baldev Singh Billawaria and Gopal Mahajan, and other senior leaders, were present during the deliberations.
While addressing the meeting, Sat Sharma categorically asserted that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led Union Government remains singularly focused on national progress, inclusive growth, and last-mile delivery of welfare schemes. He said that the Union Budget is not merely a financial document, but a decisive policy instrument that reflects the government’s firm commitment to development, good governance, and social justice.
Sat Sharma informed the gathering that the Union Budget will be presented on February 1, 2026, and directed all party leaders and activists to closely monitor the live Budget proceedings to fully grasp its key announcements and policy thrusts. He stressed that ideological clarity and factual understanding of the Budget are essential to counter misinformation and effectively communicate the transformative impact of the Budget at the grassroots. He also announced that the BJP will organize Budget Par Charcha programmes across Jammu and Kashmir from February 2 to February 15, 2026.
Emphasizing the organizational machinery of the party, Sat Sharma highlighted the decisive role of BJP Morchas and Cells in taking the Budget’s key provisions directly to the people. He asserted that morcha cadres must actively engage with party workers, beneficiaries, and the general public to ensure that the welfare initiatives announced by the Modi Government translate into real and visible benefits on the ground. He also instructed the media and social media in-charges to launch an aggressive and sustained outreach campaign to amplify the Budget’s pro-people and pro-development agenda.
Sat Sharma further stressed the importance of conducting extensive ground-level interactions across Jammu and Kashmir to directly connect with the masses and reinforce the BJP’s narrative of development, stability, and inclusive growth. He laid strong emphasis on the formation of district- and mandal-level committees to systematically plan, coordinate, and execute Budget-related outreach programmes within a fixed timeframe, ensuring disciplined implementation and maximum public engagement.
