GANDERBAL: Continuing its special drive against illegal mining and transportation of minerals, J&K Police has seized 05 Tractors & 01 Tipper involved in the illegal extraction and transportation of minor minerals from different areas falling under the jurisdiction of PS Kangan, PS Gund and PP Sonamarg respectively. The vehicles were found transporting minerals without valid permission and were subsequently seized on the spot by concerned police teams in coordination with the Geology and Mining Department.
J&K Police has reiterated its firm resolve to take strict action against those involved in such unlawful activities. The general public is once again advised to refrain from indulging in illegal mining and transportation of minerals. Strict legal action shall be taken against the violators.
