SHOPIAN: In its continued crackdown against drug menace, Police in Shopian recovered contraband substance from a residential house in Melhura Zainapora. Acting on specific information, Police Post Wachi registered a case under FIR No. 07/2026 of NDPS Act and obtained a search warrant from the competent authority.
A team from Police Post Wachi accompanied by the Executive Magistrate, raided the house of Rayees Ahmad Koka resident of Melhura Zainapora. During search, 05 grams of Heroin-like substance was seized. The accused has been arrested and further investigation has been initiated. J&K Police reiterate its commitment to eradicate the menace of drugs from society and urges the public to extend cooperation.
