SAMBA: Government Degree College Ramgarh in collaboration with District Hub for empowerment of women “Mission Shakti’ (Social Welfare Department), organized “Summer Internship programme on Digital Literacy’ for students of 5th semester. The internship program under Beti Bachao Beti Padhao culminated today with an awareness cum certificate distribution programme. The event was organized under the guidance and supervision of the Principal of the college, Prof. (Dr.) Geetanjli Andotra with the support of faculty members.
Dr. Ruchi Thakur District Mission Coordinator SANKALP: Hub for empowerment of women, Mission Shakti, along with gender specialists Mansi Abrol and Ritika Banotra attended the event and highlighted the department's unvarying commitment towards women's empowerment. The program featured a captivating nukkad natak presented by Ravi Dutt and his team, which illustrated the critical message of saving and educating daughters. The performance emphasized the significance of female education in empowering girls and enhancing their future prospects.
Earlier, a one-month digital literacy computer course was organized in the College, in collaboration with the Social Welfare Department . Upon successful completion of this course, certificates were awarded to the participating students, along with bags provided by the Social Welfare Department. The event also included a prize distribution ceremony, where bags were given to the toppers of Semester III and Semester V, recognizing their outstanding academic achievements.
Principal Prof. (Dr.) Geetanjali Andotra expressed her heartfelt thanks to the resource person Mr. Gulshan Dubey and members of the Social Welfare Department for their invaluable contributions. The program was attended by all the faculty members and students of the college. Lastly, refreshments were also served to all students by the social welfare department, Samba.
