KATHUA: Deputy Commissioner Kathua, Rajesh Sharma, today chaired a meeting to review the status of land acquisition for Border Out Posts (BOPs), axial roads and link roads in the district, with a focus on completing the process in a time-bound manner.
The meeting was attended by ADC Vishavjeet Singh, ACR Vishav Partap Singh, SDM Hiranagar Phulail Singh, Commanding Officer BSF 107 Battalion, Commanding Officer BSF 159 Battalion, XEN CPWD, Tehsildar Hiranagar and Tehsildar Marheen, besides other concerned officers.
Threadbare discussions were held on component-wise progress of land acquisition cases, identification of bottlenecks, procedural gaps and the way forward for ensuring early completion of all pending formalities. Issues related to revenue verification, compensation, documentation and coordination among stakeholder departments were discussed in detail.
The Deputy Commissioner emphasised the timely completion of land acquisition for BOPs and allied road infrastructure, stating that these projects are critical from the perspective of border security, connectivity and operational preparedness. He directed the revenue officers to ensure prompt disposal of pending cases and removal of procedural hurdles through close coordination with executing agencies and BSF authorities.
