BANDIPORA: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Indu Kanwal Chib, today chaired a review meeting to assess departmental performance under the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of the Aspirational Block Programme (ABP) for Tulail, which has been identified by the Government of India for focused developmental interventions.

During the meeting, sector-wise progress under the ABP, a flagship initiative of NITI Aayog aimed at strengthening governance and improving service delivery across key sectors including health, education, agriculture, financial inclusion and basic infrastructure was reviewed in detail.

Discrepancies in institution-related data arising due to the merging of schools were discussed. The Education Department was directed to submit a detailed breakup along with an updated list of schools. Special emphasis was laid on improving girls’ toilet indicators by completing all pending constructions within the stipulated timeframe.

The meeting was informed that under the PMAY-G housing component, significant achievements have been recorded, with substantial progress made in the construction of houses against the approved targets. Progress under the National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) in the Health sector and Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) vaccination in the Animal Husbandry sector was also reviewed. Other concerned departments reported saturation in their respective indicators.

The Deputy Commissioner stressed the importance of accurate, consistent and timely data reporting to further strengthen the performance of Aspirational Block Tulail and to sustain the district’s upward trajectory under the programme.

The meeting was attended by the Assistant Commissioner Panchayat Bandipora, Chief Agriculture Officer Bandipora, Chief Horticulture Officer Bandipora, District Programme Manager, NRLM, and other concerned officers.
