SHOPIAN: The District Industries Centre (DIC) Shopian today organised an Awareness Camp-cum-Outreach Drive under the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) program at the Block Office, Keller. The event was aimed at promoting the formalisation of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and encouraging Udyam registration among local entrepreneurs.
The camp witnessed the participation of around 75 local stakeholders, including aspiring entrepreneurs, small business owners, and local youth. Officials from DIC Shopian briefed the gathering on the Udyam registration process, explaining its key benefits such as access to government schemes, financial support, and market opportunities. The Lead District Manager (LDM) Shopian also addressed the participants and shared valuable insights on various financial schemes offered by banks to support MSMEs. He highlighted the importance of timely credit, financial awareness, and institutional support for the growth of small enterprises.
The program reflected the dedication of DIC Shopian towards fostering entrepreneurship and industrial development in the district. The initiative is part of the ongoing efforts under the RAMP scheme to enhance the productivity, competitiveness, and formalisation of MSMEs across the region.
