• Road Safety awareness Programme held at IDPS Dhani Dhar

‎‎RAJOURI: Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) Rajouri, Rajesh Gupta, today conducted an enforcement drive to assess compliance with Motor Vehicles Act. ‎‎During the drive, the ARTO seized 14 vehicles, including 10 e-autos found plying without valid driving licences, 03 two-wheelers being operated sans licences and 01 tempo without valid fitness certificate. An amount of ₹72,500 was realized as fine during the drive.

Besides, extra seats and tape recorders fitted in e-autos in violation of safety norms were also removed on the spot to ensure passenger safety and adherence to prescribed vehicle specifications. ‎‎The enforcement drive was carried out at University Road and Rajouri town aiming to curb traffic violations and enhance road safety.

‎‎Meanwhile, the ARTO also conducted a Road Safety Awareness Programme at IDPS School, Dhani Dhar, as part of the ongoing National Road Safety Month. During the programme, students were sensitized to traffic rules, road safety measures and the importance of responsible behaviour on roads.

‎‎The Assistant Regional Transport Officer emphasized that such drives and awareness programmes will continue in the future to ensure safer roads and strict adherence to traffic regulations.
