JAMMU: The Indian Institute of Management Jammu, inaugurated the Fourteenth batch of the Nurturing Future Leadership Program on 15th Dec 2025 at Vedanta, MDP Centre, Jagti. Organized under the aegis of the Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Programme, Ministry of Education, Government of India, this initiative reflects IIM Jammu's commitment to academic excellence and leadership development.
Prof. Jabir Ali, Dean Faculty and Research, IIM Jammu graced the inaugural ceremony. The inaugural ceremony commenced with the lamp lighting ceremony. The program consisted of 25 participants from different parts of the country.
This unique residential training program, scheduled from 15thDec to 19th Dec 2025, is designed to cultivate leadership capabilities among educators at various levels, creating a pool of potential leaders ready to drive generational transitions. Delivered by IIM Jammuâs faculty, the program aims to help institutions enhance their leadership potential. The inaugural ceremony was also graced by Prof. Sanjeev Pathak, Chairperson, Executive Education and Consultancy (EE & C), IIM Jammu; Dr. Prakrit Silal, Program Director, IIM Jammu; and Dr. Sakthi Nagaraj T, Program Director, IIM Jammu. Also present on the occasion was Dr. Sandeep Ananthanarayanan, CEO, CITaG, IIM Jammu.
Prof. Jabir Ali, Dean Faculty and Research, IIM Jammu, highlighted the diversity of participants from across domains and India, emphasizing that the programme goes beyond best practices to understanding the Instituteâs academic journey since 2016. He reflected on IIM Jammuâs growth to over 1,200 students, noted the leverage of the new IIM Act in offering undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, underscored IIM Jammu BGA Institutional and EFMD MBA programme accreditations with an aspiration for Triple Crown accreditation, and called for collective contribution to create a multiplier impact through interactive discussions, while highlighting the rarity and value of the student life experience.
Prof. Sanjeev Pathak, Chairperson, Executive Education and Consultancy (EE&C), IIM Jammu, stated that the programme is a major and marquee initiative of the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India, with the 14th batch reflecting its sustained commitment to leadership enhancement and continuous improvement in delivery quality. He highlighted the unique vision of the Ministry of Education driven by voluntary institutional engagement, emphasized blended classroom, collaborative, and experiential learning for diverse participants, encouraged sharing experiences on LinkedIn, and reaffirmed that IIM Jammu remains open to feedback.
Dr. Sakthi Nagaraj T, Program Director, IIM Jammu, delivered the welcome address and added that each participant is a leader in their own right, and the program is designed to foster continuous learning, before, during, and after sessions. Coming from diverse industry backgrounds, participants bring valuable insights, and he encouraged everyone to engage actively and feel free to reach out for guidance.
Participants introduced themselves and shared their reflections on the program, discussing their experiences and expectations. The vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Prakrit Silal, Program Director, IIM Jammu, followed by the national anthem.
The Fourteenth batch is comprised of 25 participants from institutes across India and is fully funded by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. The curriculum is structured into four key themes: leadership, communication, skill development, and recent government initiatives. Over five days, participants will engage in lectures, interactive workshops, group discussions, case studies, role-plays, and practical exercises, ensuring the active application of concepts. Following the inaugural ceremony, participants toured the instituteâs campus, gaining insights into its state-of-the-art infrastructure. The participants were also given a tour of Manthan (Senate Hall), theworld-classNalanda Library,Vishrantika Faculty Lounge and smart classrooms
The Nurturing Future Leadership Program aligns with the Malaviya Missionâs vision of empowering educators and leaders to shape Indiaâs educational landscape, reinforcing IIM Jammuâs position as a hub for leadership and innovation.
