JAMMU: The Indian Institute of Management Jammu concluded the Young Officers Development Program (Batch I) for National Hydroelectric Power Corporation Limited, a Government of India Navratna enterprise, with a valedictory ceremony held at the Vedanta MDP Centre, Jagti Campus.

The week-long programme, curated under the Executive Education and Consultancy (EE&C) vertical of IIM Jammu, was designed exclusively for NHPC to enhance managerial capabilities, leadership effectiveness, strategic thinking, and organizational perspective among young officers. Twenty NHPC professionals from diverse locations across the country participated in the programme, enriching the learning environment through cross-functional and experiential engagement.

Presiding over the valedictory session, Prof. Jabir Ali stated that the programme marked not a closure but a beginning, highlighting the six days of shared learning and the strong bonds created, reaffirmed the Institute’s focus on such initiatives, expressed pride in contributing to nation building in line with the mandate of a developed India by 2047, appreciated the Program Directors for going the extra mile, emphasised reflection and contribution in one’s work, and looked forward to deeper alumni and institutional collaboration in the future.

The Programme Directors, Dr. Manu Bansal and Dr. Vaseem Akram, presented the six-day programme report, highlighting the active participation of the officers and rich classroom discussions driven by case studies, simulations, leadership exercises, and strategic frameworks, followed by participant reflections appreciating the programme’s academic rigour, hospitality, practical relevance, and immersive pedagogy, and the vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Kapil Gumte, Program Director, IIM Jammu.

The valedictory ceremony concluded with the distribution of certificates to the participants, followed by a group photograph. The completion of the Young Officers Development Program (Batch I) reaffirms IIM Jammu’s growing role as a trusted partner in executive education for leading public sector organizations and its continued focus on developing competent and ethical leaders for India’s growth journey.
