JAMMU: The government departments, judicial and educational institutions across Jammu division celebrated Republic Day with traditional fervor and democratic spirit.

DLSA Jammu: District Legal Services Authority Jammu celebrated the 77th Republic Day in District Court Complex Jammu.

The Celebration started with the unfurling of the National Flag by R. N. Watal, Pr. Distt. & Sessions Judge & Chairman District Legal Services Authority Jammu, followed by singing of the National Anthem. Celebration was attended by all the Ld. Judicial Officers along with their ministerial staff, Ld. Bar Members, Panel Lawyers, LADCs, Police Officials and PLVs of District Legal Services Authority Jammu.

The welcome address was delivered by Secretary District Legal Services Authority Jammu, Maleeka Sharma. A Guard of Honour was also presented to the Principal District & Sessions Judge Jammu by the District Police Contingent. R. N. Watal, Pr. District & Sessions Judge Jammu distributed refreshments among the members of Police Contingent, Police band and Safai Karamcharis.

Addressing the gathering, the Pr. District & Sessions Judge Jammu recalled the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters. He stressed that there is a need for introspection in our society by evolving new tools for redressing public wrongs and today’s priority is to have speedy dispensation of Justice for which judicial members are tirelessly working. R. N. Watal, also encouraged all present to follow ethos enshrined in the Constitution of India so as to make India an egalitarian and just society.

Later, Secretary DLSA Jammu thanked all present for their participation and reiterated the message of upholding constitutional morality in our lives for ensuring a better and more developed India. Republic Day was also celebrated by TLSC R. S. Pura, TLSC Bishnah and TLSC Akhnoor.

 District Court Doda: District Court Doda celebrated the 77th Republic Day with great zeal, enthusiasm and patriotic fervour. The National Tricolour was unfurled within the court premises, marking the solemn occasion and reaffirming faith in the Constitution of India.

Celebrations commenced with the unfurling of the National Flag by the Additional District and Sessions Judge, Archana Charak, followed by the singing of the National Anthem in the presence of judicial officers, advocates, court staff and members of the public.

Addressing the gathering, Archana Charak highlighted the significance of Republic Day and emphasized the core values enshrined in the Constitution, including justice, liberty, equality and fraternity. She also underlined the vital role of the judiciary in upholding constitutional values and strengthening the rule of law.

Furthermore, a cultural programme was presented, wherein students enthusiastically showcased their talent through patriotic performances, adding colour and vibrancy to the celebrations.

 DLSA Udhampur: District Legal Services Authority Udhampur, under the guidance of Kalpana Revo, Principal District & Sessions Judge/ Chairman DLSA Udhampur and Sumati Sharma, Secretary DLSA organised a grand celebration of Republic Day at District Court Complex   in synergy with District Judiciary. The program commenced with the flag unfurling ceremony by Kalpana Revo.

The National Anthem resonated through the premises as judges, school children and judiciary staff united in patriotism. The program unfolded with captivating cultural performances by school children, melodious patriotic songs by DLSA's PLVs and a heartwarming distribution of stationery kits to the young participants.

Sumati Sharma concluded the program with a vote of thanks, leaving everyone with a sense of pride and unity. Similar celebrations were observed at TLSC Ramnagar, Majalta and Chenani.

 District Court, Reasi:  77th Republic Day was celebrated at the District Court Complex, Reasi with full zeal and enthusiasm. The event commenced with the unfurling of the National flag by Khalil  Choudhary, Principal District & Sessions Judge, Reasi who greeted the gathering on this occasion and also highlighted the importance of this day.

The program was attended by Geeta Kumar CJM, Reasi, Pooja Gupta, Secretary DLSA Reasi, Mehajbeen Akhter, Chairperson JJB Reasi, Shivali Sharma, Munsiff Reasi, Aastha Sharma, Addl. Spl. Mobile Magistrate Reasi, Prosecuting Officers of District Court Reasi, Pawan Dev Singh, President Bar Association Reasi along with the members of the Bar Association  and others. A scintillating cultural programme was presented by the students, advocates and PLVs, featuring dance and patriotic songs.

Later, a felicitation ceremony was also organized wherein Principal District & Sessions Judge Reasi along with Chief Judicial Magistrate Reasi and Secretary DLSA Reasi distributed trophies and certificates to all those who actively cooperated and participated in the celebration of 77th Republic Day thereby making it a great success.

 DHSJ: Directorate of Health Services Jammu celebrated the 77th Republic Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit at its premises. Director, Health Services, Dr. Abdul Hamid Zargar,  Deputy Director Dentistry Dr. Sanjay Sharma; Deputy Director Planning, Raman Sharma and FA/CAO Rajni Gupta highlighted the significance of the day and reaffirmed their commitment to public service.

The celebrations featured a vibrant cultural programme, including patriotic dance performances and songs, which captivated the audience and added colour to the event. Certificates and mementos were distributed to participants in recognition of their contributions.

Sheep Husbandry Department: The 77th Republic Day was celebrated in Sheep Husbandry Complex by hoisting the National Flag followed by the recitation of National Anthem. All the officers and officials were present on the occasion.

Labour Department: The 77th Republic Day of India was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit at Shram Bhawan under the aegis of the Labour Department.

The National Flag was unfurled by Labour Commissioner, J&K, S. Charandeep Singh who also took the salute. The ceremony commenced with the National Anthem, followed by a well-structured programme highlighting the values of the Constitution of India and the spirit of unity and national integrity.   The event also witnessed the unveiling of Departmental Calendar, release of “Shram Patrika”, the departmental newsletter (Volume–III) and maiden newsletter of JKESIS Society- “Karmik Aarogya Abhiraksha Patrika”, marking an important milestone in the Department’s outreach and information dissemination efforts.

Several employees of the Labour Department were felicitated with Certificates of Appreciation in recognition of their consistent dedication, professionalism and valuable contribution to the Department.

Horticulture Department Jammu: The Director Horticulture Jammu, Gul Syed unfurled the National Flag at the Directorate of Horticulture Museum to mark the celebration of Republic Day in a dignified and patriotic atmosphere. The ceremony was held in the presence of senior officers and officials of the department. The Director addressed the gathering and extended warm Republic Day greetings to all officers and staff.  

GDC Marh: Government Degree College Marh celebrated the 77th Republic Day with great solemnity and patriotic enthusiasm. The event witnessed active participation from faculty members, staff, NCC cadets, NSS volunteers and students of the college. The programme commenced with the unfurling of the National Flag by the Incharge Principal, Prof. Anita Kumari, followed by the rendering of the National Anthem.

 SCERT: The State Council of Educational Research & Training (SCERT) J&K, Divisional Office Jammu, observed the 77th Republic Day of India with dignity and patriotic fervour.

The programme commenced with the symbolic unfurling of the National Flag, followed by the rousing rendition of the National Anthem which filled the atmosphere with profound patriotism. The cultural presentations added vibrancy and emotional depth to the celebration.

 GDC Ramkote: Government Degree College, Ramkote celebrated 77th Republic Day with patriotic fervour. The Principal of the college Prof. (Dr.) Rakesh Kumar Koul unfurled the National Flag followed by the singing of the National Anthem.

The event showcased enthusiastic participation of students, who delivered speeches on the significance of Republic Day, sang patriotic songs and presented colourful cultural programs.

Padma Shri Padma Sachdev GCW Gandhinagar, Jammu: The 77th Republic Day was celebrated with great zeal and patriotic fervour at Padma Shri Padma Sachdev Government College for Women Gandhinagar, Jammu. Principal of the college, Dr. Kulvinder Kour unfurled the National Flag, followed by singing of National Anthem.

The Principal along with the senior teaching faculty members, non-teaching staff, NCC ANOs, NSS PO's and a contingent of spirited NCC cadets and volunteers paid reverence to Nation.

DSEJ:  Director School Education Jammu, Dr. Naseem Javaid Chowdhary unfurled the National Flag at the Directorate in the presence of the staff members marking the solemn and spirited commencement of the 77th Republic Day celebrations.

Dr. Chowdhary extended heartfelt greetings to the students, their parents, the teaching fraternity and the dedicated staff members of the Education Department across the Jammu Division.

Invoking the spirit of the day, Dr. Chowdhary noted that “Republic Day is not merely a national observance etched in the calendar, but a solemn reminder of the moral, intellectual and civic responsibilities that accompany freedom. Our classrooms are the laboratories of democracy, where young minds learn the delicate art of being citizens.”

He lauded the students who represent the continuum of India’s democratic imagination; the parents who provide the first classrooms of conscience; the teachers who labour quietly to illuminate minds and the departmental staff, who ensure that the machinery of learning remains uninterrupted and humane.
