DODA: On the auspicious occasion of the 77th Republic Day, the Indian Army’s 10 Rashtriya Rifles, under the leadership of its Commanding Officer, Colonel Rahul Katiyar, distributed 20 computers among government schools of District Doda under Operation Sadbhavna.
The programme was organized at the Sports Stadium, Doda, as part of the Republic Day celebrations, in the august presence of Chairman, District Development Council (DDC), Dhananter Singh Kotwal and Deputy Commissioner, Harvinder Singh.
The initiative aims to promote digital education, bridge the digital divide and enhance learning facilities in government schools, especially in remote and rural areas. By providing modern educational tools, the Indian Army reaffirmed its commitment towards youth empowerment, inclusive development and nation-building through education.
The computers were provided to Government High School Shankhli, Government Middle School Gurmul, Government Upper Primary School Laloor, Government Middle School Barno, Government High School Ugad, Government High School Gadi, Government Girls High School Kanhal, Government Girls Middle School Bhagwah, Government Upper Primary School Hash and Government City Middle School (Boys), Doda.
The school authorities and the district administration lauded the Indian Army for its continued support to the civil population under Operation Sadbhavna. The initiative is expected to significantly improve digital literacy, academic exposure and overall educational standards of students in District Doda, truly reflecting the spirit of service, cooperation and national integration on the occasion of the 77th Republic Day.
