KULGAM: Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan, today visited the revered Sheikh-ul-Alam (RA) Shrine at Qaimoh to review the ongoing beautification and development works being executed under the district’s heritage project.

During the visit, the DC emphasized the need for timely completion of the project, directing the executing agencies to ensure high-quality workmanship, aesthetic excellence, and strict adherence to heritage preservation norms.

The shrine is being developed on a heritage-pattern design at an estimated cost of Rs 3.19 crore, with the objective of preserving its cultural and architectural essence while upgrading facilities for devotees and visitors.

The project aims to enhance the shrine’s infrastructure while safeguarding its historical and spiritual significance, thereby transforming it into a well-maintained centre of faith, heritage, and community for present and future generations.

The Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by the  Assistant Commissioner Revenue (ACR), ACD, Executive Engineers of R&B and Jal Shakti, Tehsildar, and other concerned officials during the visit.
