CHANDIGARH: Aryans College of Law, Rajpura, in collaboration with the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Patiala, organized a Legal Aid Awareness Camp at the college campus to promote legal awareness among LL.B. and B.A. LL.B. students.
Mr. Mahesh Kumar, Para Legal Volunteer (PLV), DLSA Patiala, delivered an informative session on free legal aid, the role of DLSA and the importance of legal awareness. He explained provisions of the Legal Services Authorities Act and highlighted legal services available to women, children, senior citizens, persons with disabilities and economically weaker sections. He also encouraged students to participate in legal aid and community outreach activities.
The session concluded with an interactive discussion where students raised queries regarding legal aid services and the functioning of Legal Services Authorities. Dr. Pritika, HOD, Aryans College of Law, along with faculty members Chandni Bajaj, Kamna, Samriti, Khushi and others, were present on the occasion.
