SHOPIAN: A “Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat” programme was organised across Shopian with enthusiastic participation of youth and students, reinforcing the collective resolve to make the district drug-free and future-ready. The programme focused on sensitising young people about the harmful consequences of substance abuse and the need to adopt healthy, productive and positive lifestyles.
Participants were encouraged to channelise their energy towards education, sports, creativity, innovation and nation-building. Speakers called upon youth to become ambassadors of the anti-drug movement, stressing that their active participation is crucial in creating a healthier and stronger society. Families, educational institutions and community members were also urged to work collectively towards prevention, awareness and rehabilitation.
The programme highlighted the importance of strengthening the Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir campaign through sustained awareness and meaningful youth engagement. The participants reaffirmed their commitment to the cause with the message: “Say Yes to Life, Say No to Drugs”, pledging to contribute towards a Nasha Mukt Shopian and Viksit Bharat.
