Right from day one when the Jammu and Kashmir Union Administration had taken away the powers of the judicial officers as registrars and sub-registrars  for registration of documents and deeds under registration act and delegated these powers to revenue department officers, the sufferings of the people started from that very day.

Earlier in courts, as the judicial officers are well acquainted with the law and having discipline used to get the documents and deeds including sale deeds, trust deeds, gift deeds, power of attorney e.t.c.  within a day or two after submission of the documents with the respective judicial officers but unfortunately, the civil officers who have been assigned the charge of registrars and sub registrars do not exhibit same regard for the precious time of the applicants and in many cases people are being made to wait for more than 30 days to get their documents and deeds registered.  Innocent people are suffering at the hands of these civil officers but no one in the government cares to listen them.

It is most humbly requested to the JK UT government that even if keeping the power of registration with the revenue officers is continued but  the Registration Act 1908 is properly implemented and the officers concerned including the registrars, sub-registrars are given proper training and sensitize about their duties and rights, things may become bit conducive for the applicants and time bound of delivery of deeds is made compulsory.
