RAMBAN: Election Department Ramban, under the dynamic leadership of District Election Officer (DEO), Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary, has taken several significant steps towards ensuring electoral transparency and efficiency in the district.

As part of preparation for the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections, a comprehensive training on handling of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trails (VVPAT) was organized for Anganwadi staff here today.

Acknowledging the crucial role of Anganwadi workers in community outreach, the training aimed to equip them with  requisite skills and knowledge to effectively assist and aware voters during the electoral process.

Conducted under the supervision of Nodal Officer for Women Awareness and Welfare AC-54, (CDPO) Ramban, Ravinder Kour, and Nodal Officer for Women Awareness and Welfare AC-55, BDO Ramban, Shalini Chandail, the sessions focused on familiarizing participants with  operation, handling, and troubleshooting of EVMs and VVPAT machines.

By providing Anganwadi staff with this essential handholding of EVMs and VVPAT, the Election department Ramban reaffirms its dedication to upholding the integrity of  election process.

Through such initiatives, the department endeavours to ensure a seamless, transparent, and inclusive electoral experience for all citizens. As the General Election Lok Sabha scheduled to be held on April 19, 2024 for 04-Udhampur, the Election department Ramban remains steadfast in fostering a culture of electoral awareness and participation within the community.
