The plantation drive aims to strengthen green cover, promote ecological conservation and enhance the visual and environmental quality of public spaces across the district.
The Deputy Commissioner planted a tree sapling to mark the launch. She appreciated the coordinated efforts of the Municipal Council and Forest Department towards promoting sustainable environmental practices and creating greener public spaces.
Senior officers from the District Administration, Municipal Council and Forest Department along with civic staff, students and volunteers, participated actively in the plantation drive.
