JAMMU: Director, Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, J&K Rajesh Kumar Shavan today chaired a meeting to review the status of ration distribution to Kashmiri Migrants under the Special Relief Ration Scheme.

The meeting was attended by Relief & Rehabilitation Commissioner (M), J&K, Dr. Arvind Karwani, Deputy Director F&R, Sham Abrol, Assistant Directors, FCS&CA, senior officers of the Relief & Rehabilitation Organization, representatives of NIC through virtual mode besides concerned Area Inspectors and other field functionaries.

The meeting held a detailed review of E-KYC of migrant beneficiaries, ration distribution, three-month advance distribution, lifting and availability of foodgrains, and other issues related to the smooth and timely delivery of ration to eligible migrant beneficiaries.

The Director asked the concerned officers to ensure timely and hassle-free distribution of ration as per entitlement and to closely monitor the process at the field level. The NIC authorities were specifically directed to ensure that all issues/technical problems flagged by migrant beneficiaries are attended to and redressed timely, so that beneficiaries do not face any inconvenience in availing their entitled ration.

The officers of the Relief & Rehabilitation Organization and FCS&CA were directed to maintain close coordination and ensure that grievances raised by migrant beneficiaries are promptly taken up with the concerned authorities and redressed in a time-bound manner.
