JAMMU: A meeting of the Ex. Central Paramilitary Force Welfare Association took place at R.S. Pura in Jammu. The meeting was chaired by V. K. Sharma, Chairman of the All India Confederation of Ex-CPM Force. Several crucial issues were discussed during the meeting.

The association advocated for the equalization of assistance and facilities nationwide, particularly concerning the provision of Rs. 8000 for the cremation of paramilitary personnel.

Participants sought exemption from GST and excise duty for paramilitary force canteens, aiming to alleviate financial burdens on these establishments. The association pressed for the release of pending Dearness Allowance arrears, spanning approximately eighteen months, for all central government employees. 

This demand was formally submitted to the government by the office bearers of the Ex. Central Paramilitary Force. Additionally, during the meeting, a new committee of the Ex-Central Force Welfare Association was formed under the guidance of V.K. Sharma, former DIG and Chairman of the All India Confederation of Ex. C.P.M. Force. 

The newly elected committee members include Ashok Kumar Verma (Chairman, J&K CPMF), Harinder Mahajan (Chief Advisor), Harbans Lal Sharma (Vice President), Darshan Chouhan (General Secretary) and Nirmal Singh Maan (Ex. Comdt., CAF Chairman, Gurdaspur, Punjab). Furthermore, a resolution was passed during the meeting, electing S. Kuldeep Singh as the new President of the Ex. CPMW Association in Jammu and Kashmir. 

Other attendees who unanimously supported this resolution include Noor Mohd. (General Secretary, District Samba), P.S. Sandhu (President, CPME Jalandhar, Punjab), Manbir Katoch (National Spokesman, Himachal Pradesh), M.L. Thakur (Chief Patron, Ex. CPMFW, Himachal Pradesh).
