SRINAGAR: The Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha, today felicitated senior officers and personnel of the Special Security Force (SSF) in recognition of their outstanding professionalism, unwavering dedication, and exemplary service in ensuring the successful conduct of the 100-day Drug-Free Jammu Kashmir Campaign.

Addressing the gathering, the Lieutenant Governor lauded the SSF for adding a remarkable chapter to the administrative and security history of the Union Territory through its courage, vigilance, and exceptional operational competence. He observed that the Force has established itself as a symbol of discipline, professional excellence, and steadfast commitment to duty.

Highlighting the significance of the Drug-Free Jammu Kashmir Campaign, Shri Sinha described the initiative as a transformative endeavour aimed at mobilising society against the menace of drug abuse. Appreciating the SSF's pivotal role in facilitating the campaign, the Lieutenant Governor underscored the Force's meticulous security planning, seamless inter-agency coordination, and effective crowd management arrangements across diverse geographical terrains and challenging operational conditions.

“From urban centres to remote rural areas and mountainous regions, the SSF maintained the highest standards of security while facilitating meaningful public interaction,” he said.

The Lieutenant Governor also extended his best wishes to all SSF personnel and their families, expressing confidence that the Force would continue to uphold the highest traditions of service and discharge its responsibilities towards the nation with courage, honour, and unwavering commitment.

The occasion was attended by Shri Govind Jaiswal, Principal Secretary to the Lieutenant Governor; Shri Swarn Singh Kotwal, DIG, Udhampur-Reasi Range and former Director, SSF; Shri Hareesh H.P., Director, SSF; and other senior officials.
