JAMMU: Sunil Dimple, President of Mission Statehood, led massive protests and demonstrations against the Jammu & Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) and Public Service Commission (PSC) over the growing issue of unemployment among educated youth in Jammu and Kashmir. The protest was held at Rehari Chungi, BC Road, Jammu, where Dimple and his supporters strongly opposed the halting of the recruitment process for the posts of Naib Tehsildar.

Addressing the gathering, Sunil Dimple demanded that the Jammu & Kashmir Government and JKSSB immediately resume the recruitment process for all vacant posts in government departments to address the rising unemployment crisis among educated youth. He criticized the JKSSB and PSC for stalling the recruitment process for Naib Tehsildar posts and urged Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to take immediate action to restart the recruitment. Dimple warned that if the recruitment is not resumed soon, Mission Statehood will launch a large-scale agitation against the government.

Dimple further demanded the immediate recruitment of 8,300 vacant teacher posts in government schools across Jammu & Kashmir. He alleged that even the selection process for Sub-Inspector (SI) posts has been halted.

He also pressed the Chief Minister to regularize seasonal teachers, enhance their salaries, and provide permanent appointments. Dimple demanded parity in salaries for vocational trainers, cluster resource coordinators, Kissan Khidmat Ghars (KKGs), SPOs, Rehbar-e-Khel, physical education teachers, forestry (Janglat) staff, Rehbar-e-Taleem, health (Sehat) workers, National Youth Corps, seasonal teachers, SRO-43 employees, CPW workers, land donors, Anganwadi workers, and Ayushman Bharat Mitras. He called for regularization of all striking daily wagers and paramedical staff.

Dimple also demanded a stipend for educated unemployed youth and the implementation of the Minimum Wages Act for daily wagers and daily-rated workers. He alleged that since the abrogation of Article 370, unemployment in Jammu & Kashmir has worsened and job opportunities have diminished. Dimple further claimed that the expectations of voters from assembly elections have been betrayed, and their mandate has been ignored.

Other prominent leaders who participated in the protest included Narender Choudhary, Baba Gupta, Roky Kapoor, Ashok Sharma, Sudesh Kumar, Sanjeev Kumar, Sunny, Happy, Ashok Kumar, Tarsem, Mohan Lal, and many others.
