RAJOURI: Jammu & Kashmir Bank’s Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI) Rajouri organized an impactful ASARE (Awareness, Skill Acquisition, and Rural Entrepreneurship) meet, aimed at empowering women through inspiration, knowledge sharing and financial literacy. The event brought together successful women entrepreneurs and current trainees of the Women Tailoring Batch at RSETI, fostering a spirit of motivation and self-reliance among the participants.
The highlight of the event was the participation of four accomplished women entrepreneurs who shared their journeys from trainees to successful business owners including Sapna Bhardwaj, owner of a flourishing salon near 36 Galli Main Market, Rajouri, Farzana Kouser, who runs a combined cosmetic and tailoring shop at Muradpur, Sayeeda Kosser, proprietor of a tailoring shop at Ujjan, Darhal & Anita Devi, proud owner of boutique at Malik Market.
Their real-life success stories and candid discussions on overcoming challenges and achieving financial independence served as a powerful source of encouragement for the current batch of trainees.
To enhance the trainees’ understanding of social security measures, a field coordinator delivered a session on key government-backed insurance schemes, including Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY) & Atal Pension Yojana (APY).
The session aimed at promoting financial stability and risk coverage for rural women and their families. The ASARE meet reaffirmed JKB RSETI Rajouri’s dedication to empowering women through a combination of skill training, mentorship and awareness. The institute continues to play a pivotal role in building a vibrant ecosystem of rural entrepreneurship and financial inclusion.
Such initiatives not only equip women with vocational skills but also inspire them to pursue independent livelihoods, thereby contributing to the socio-economic upliftment of the region.
