SRINAGAR: Social Welfare department, SANKALP- Hub for Empowerment of Women- Mission Shakti Srinagar Wednesday organized exposure visit for female students of Government Higher Secondary School Gund Hassi Bhat to Industrial Estate Bagh-i- Ali Mardan Khan and Women Polytechnic College Bemina under Beti Bachao Beti Padhao initiative.
The exposure visit aimed to provide opportunities for observation, discussion and knowledge exchange among female students related to particular subjects or practice. During the exposure visit, students first visited different departments of Women Polytechnic College Bemina where they got familiar with courses like fashion technology, garment technology, different medical Labs for Medical Tests, besides they got an idea about repairing of different electronic items.
Later the students visited different firms located at Industrial Estate Bagh-i- Ali Mardan Khan viz-a-viz M/S Energy Bread, M/S Qadri Textiles, M/S Azmat Arts where they learned baking process, embroidery designing works on shawls and sarees and Ari work on fabrics, Export Business of different products like Scarf, Mufflers and Stoles and at M/S Taj Spices they learned spice manufacturing from raw spices. The students were accompanied by the staff from the Hub for Empowerment of Women Srinagar and the teachers from GHSS Gund Hassi Bhat.
