JAMMU: The Akhnoor Road Market Association proudly felicitated 15-year-old Ronav Parihar, a local talent from Jammu, for his remarkable achievement of securing a pivotal role in Dharma Productions’ highly anticipated film Sarzameen.

The patriotic thriller, starring acclaimed actors Kajol, Prithviraj Sukumaran, and Ibrahim Ali Khan, marks the directorial debut of Kayoze Irani and is set to premiere exclusively on JioCinema on July 25. 

Ronav, the son of Manoj Parihar and Nidhi Jamwal, has brought immense pride to the Jammu community with his big-screen debut. His journey to Sarzameen began with a rigorous audition process conducted by renowned casting director Panchami Ghavri. Starting at a school-level audition, Ronav’s exceptional talent and dedication shone through, earning him a spot in the final selection round in Mumbai.

Competing against hundreds of aspirants, he secured a significant role in this emotionally charged drama set against the volatile backdrop of Kashmir. The Akhnoor Road Market Association hosted a special felicitation ceremony to celebrate Ronav’s achievement, recognizing his contribution to putting Jammu on the national cinematic map.

The event, attended by local dignitaries, business leaders, and community members, highlighted Ronav’s inspiring journey and the pride he has brought to his hometown.  “Ronav Parihar’s debut in a prestigious project like Sarzameen is a moment of immense pride for all of us in Jammu,” said Puneet Jamwal, President of the Akhnoor Road Market Association.

We are thrilled to honor him and wish him continued success in his promising career.”  Sarzameen, produced by Karan Johar, Hiroo Yash Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Adar Poonawalla under the banner of Dharma Productions, is a gripping tale of patriotism, sacrifice, and family conflict.

The film follows Colonel Vijay Menon (Prithviraj Sukumaran), an army officer dedicated to combating terrorism in Kashmir, whose personal and professional duties collide. Kajol plays Harman's mother, while Ibrahim Ali Khan portrays their son Harman, a complex character caught in a web of emotional and ideological turmoil. Ronav’s plays young Harman's role, which is described as pivotal, adding depth to the film’s intense narrative.

 Ronav’s achievement is all the more inspiring given his commitment to balancing his academic responsibilities with the demands of filming across multiple locations in India. His discipline and passion have been lauded by both his family and the film’s team.

Directed by Kayoze Irani, son of veteran actor Boman Irani, Sarzameen has already generated significant buzz with its teaser and trailer, which promise a powerful blend of action, drama, and emotional depth. The film’s release on JioCinema in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada is expected to resonate with audiences nationwide.
