This was the third meeting convened by the Chief Secretary to review the preparedness for rollout of the scheme. Earlier, he chaired a meeting in this regard at Civil Secretariat Jammu on November 08 and in Winter Secretariat Srinagar on November 10. He said Rs 15 on behalf of the beneficiary will be paid by the Government.

Chief Secretary asked DCs of Jammu, Udhampur, Rajouri, Poonch and Ramban to make arrangements for installing multiple computers/machines in CSCs to fast track the enrolment process owing to large number of beneficiaries in these districts. He asked DCs to launch intensive awareness campaign and mobilization drives through ASHA workers, MPHWs and other officials to encourage people to come to CSCs for registration and receiving their Golden Cards.

The DCs briefed about the plan of action being followed in their respective districts for beneficiary registration, generation & distribution of Golden Cards besides distribution of letter of the Prime Minister and pamphlets containing information relating to the scheme for the beneficiaries. Chief Secretary asked Divisional Commissioner, Jammu to keep on reviewing the daily progress with DCs and speed up the resolution of issues, if any, to ensure that target is achieved by 15th December, 2018.
