SRINAGAR: Students across the state showcased their innovative and eco-friendly ideas at State level exhibition and project competition (SLEPC) here today. On the occasion, 86 models were showcased at the event in which budding innovators from Class 6th to 10th from government and private schools, showcased their innovative and eco-friendly projects. Head of SIE Kashmir, Mehboob Husain, Director Academic BOSE, Farooq Ahmad Peer, JD schools, Abid Hussain, ADC Srinagar, Mufti Fared ud din, EJAC president Abdul Qayoom Wani, besides other officers were also present on the occasion.


Top models will be selected to represent the state at the national level exhibition. The state-level exhibition is organized by State Institute of Education Kashmir to nurture scientific temperament among students. Head of SIE, Mehboob Hussain said that the event was organized to bring out the inner capabilities of students and to give them real shape in reality so that they can contribute their bit to the society.


He also said that teachers should be awarded and encouraged for their dedication towards nation building and preparing such budding scientists. The event is being organized with an aim to create a scientific spirit among the students, increasing their cognition and reasoning power thereby making them more creative, he added.
