JAMMU: On the fifth day of ongoing Drama festival 2015-16 being organized by J&K Academy of Art, Culture and languages, Govt. of Jammu & Kashmir Rangshala sansthan staged Vikram Sharma’s Hindi play “ Haadsa; Haqeeqat! at Abhinav Theatre, Jammu. Under the able direction of Sh. Umesh Singh, todays performance was a mega success in portraying the emotions as per the demand of the play.

Haadsa;Haqeeqat!—a tale of broken identities is an assembly of four characters in a family of Sinhas bonded together intricately despite being aliens to each other’s dilemma. It is a  stark tragedy based on the withering human lives and have Rahul Sinha as the central theme player who finds his pastime and professional ethics at loggerheads as something unseen, unknown within him evokes a sense of realization of  another dimension breathing in himself that leads to unfolding of certain filthy truths of life.

His own father Dharam Pal Sinha is not his father in actuality as he is born through a foster father Shekhar Gupta who had deceived this family and had kept Malti Sinha, the wife of Dharam Pal Sinha as a keep to meet his business needs as “Maya Kapoor”.

Divya, the lover turned wife to Rahul Sinha tries to straighten up things going bizarre in the family but falls prey to circumstantial reasons as all in the family die unnaturally, but leaving a hazy trail behind about an advent that says of multi-dimensional behavioral compulsion overpowering the  human psyche.

As per the views of Sh. Umesh Singh director of the play fluctuating desires, imbalanced attitudes and stressed-out emotions is root cause to every  evil. And the evil since time immemorial has grown into multi-dimensional demon dwelling into one human psychology. Haadsa; Haqeeqat!—a tale of broken identities is a compulsion with every living being which all the four entities bonded to each other in a family of Sinhas has to undergo in a spine-chilling subject they unfurl on proscenium.

This play is an endeavour that has been evolved into practical shape through a sequential event of dialogues and dramaturgy, the gist contained therein has its actual impetus on many a lives and can be very much identified with contemporary human psychology. Though much has been written on corruption and militancy as a common factor in our state eating upon the societal vitals, my attempt through this maiden venture has been to unfurl the grass-root cause that leads to such factors

We attribute the outburst of militancy, corruption and all other felonies of today as one of the break-up of human’s multi-dimensional psychology. My own maneuverability in structuring the alien four into single entity of bonding may fall in jeopardy while dealing the subject in its tangibility, yet a burning desire deep inside is very much there to win over the tedious subject in complete perfection.

Hence being a practical theme to match the most contemporary hallucinations of life, I solemnly do confirm that this piece of art is purely a creation of realism which have strongest of bearings on everyone and is very much likely to arrest audience’ imaginations into its labyrinth. Unconsciously they may identify their own present status to its any sequence or a part thereof, but are definitely likely to carry home a notion about an ADVENT. Here I may feel elated.

……….and the opening couplet “ Achanak Uss Ghaddi Mein Mujhe Aisa Laga Jaise Tum Aik Baar Phir…….announces the advent.

Sapna Soni as Malti Sinha and Umesh Singh as Dharam Pal Sinha gave a scintillating performance whereas Sunil Sharma as Rahul Sinha and Rabia Hayat Ansari as Divya were successful in portraying their characters. Little wonder girl Aainaa Mahajan as Chirag Sinha mesmerized the audience with her acting skills. Others who helped in making the production a grand success were J.R.
