The workshop, spearheaded by Gambhir Battalion in collaboration with Dr. Rubia Bukhari, a Cocoon Artist and Lecturer at the Department of Sericulture, Poonch Campus, University of Jammu, aimed to educate, inspire, and empower the youth of the region. By introducing them to the art and science of sericulture and cocoon craft, the initiative seeks to encourage them to explore these fields as potential career paths.
A diverse group of participants, including 60 males, 2 females, and 70 students, enthusiastically engaged in the workshop, showcasing the community's interest and commitment to learning and skill development. Through hands-on activities and interactive sessions, attendees gained valuable insights into the intricacies of sericulture and cocoon artistry, laying the foundation for potential future endeavors in these fields.
