- Asks them to keep close vigil on flood situation
SRINAGAR: Minister for Revenue, Javed Mustafa Mir has asked district administration Budgam and the authorities of flood control department to keep close vigil on the rivers and streams, especially in flood proven areas of the district, in view of incessant rains to ensure the safety of human lives and public property. The Minister also expressed gratitude of Army and Police for extending their support to district administration in evacuating people from flood trapped areas besides working tirelessly, day and night, in plugging the breaches of rivers and streams.
Javed Mustafa Mir, who is presently in Valley, is personally monitoring the situation and the rescue measures started by district administration with active support of police and army. Revenue Minister appreciated the Police, Army and district administration including Irrigation and Flood Control department, for the extraordinary efforts they made in plugging the breached bunds, rescuing people besides extending logistic support to the affected people during last two weeks.
