- Directed immediate evacuation and reallocation of affected families
BARAMULLA: Deputy Commissioner, Baramulla Peerzada Mushtaq Ahmad Shah today visited Frasthar village of Baramulla district where 38 houses have been damaged due to landslide yesterday. The Deputy Commissioner met the affected families and assessed the damage caused to these houses. He directed the Tehsildar concerned for immediate evacuation and reallocation of the affected families to safer places. The Tehsildar was also directed to establish relief camps for the affected families. Tehsildar Baramulla informed that Tents and Blankets have already been provided to the affected families.
Moreover, in view of the apprehension of more landslides, the Deputy Commissioner directed the people of the village to restrict their movement in landslide prone areas. Meanwhile various teams comprised of District Officers have been deputed to all sub-Division to monitor the situation in the district. While as 24 Boats have been kept ready, out of which 7 Boats have been provided to Pattan, Sub-Division and other have been kept at Sopore and Baramulla.
