JAMMU: Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed today expressed grief over burying alive of two persons inside their house in a landslide in village Diwalkund, Dessa in Doda district, following incessant rains that have lashed the State for the past several days. In his message, the Chief Minister, while condoling the unfortunate deaths, sanctioned ex gratia relief in favour of the Next of Kin of those who died in the landslide. He directed the rescue team at the spot to make all out efforts to save the five remaining trapped persons under the debris. The Chief Minister expressed sympathies with the bereaved family and prayed for peace to the departed souls. Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh has also expressed grief and sorrow over the tragic incident. He has expressed sympathy with the braved families and asked the district administration to expedite the rescue efforts in the area.
